The Center for Local Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (CLDPM), Yamaguchi University hosts “The 1st International Alumni Online Seminar on Disaster Prevention and Environment*” for Yamaguchi University alumni and students in cooperation with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Yamaguchi University. The seminar aims to share the recent activities of the alumni and to provide a place for interaction among alumni from various countries and undergraduate/graduate students of Yamaguchi University. Also, the seminar aims to introduce local disasters and environmental problems and to enhance international research cooperation.

The organizer welcomes applications not only from alumni of Yamaguchi University but also anyone interested in the disaster prevention and environment. Those who attend the seminar, please fill Application for Participation by March 1st, 2021. The information to access Zoom online meeting is announced via Email by March 3rd, 2021.
If you are an alumnus or a foreign student at Yamaguchi Univ., and cannot attend the seminar, it would be appreciated if you could answer the following Questionnaire by March 1st, 2021. We would like to use your answers as materials for the Panel Discussion, " Study abroad under the COVID-19 pandemic; what we can and cannot do online” on March 10th.

Online poster session is held using Zoom from 13:50-15:20 (JST), March 4th, 2021. We are inviting you to share your recent studies with a poster presentation. The posters already presented in other places are also welcome. Topics related to disaster prevention and mitigation, and environmental problems in your countries are welcome, but any other topics are also acceptable.
Those who are planning to make a poster presentation, please fill Application for Poster Presentation by February 20th, 2021. The list of poster presenters and poster titles are posted on Poster Session Schedule page. The information of Zoom breakout room and core time will be announced via Email by February 25th, 2021.

All poster presenters should provide a one-page Poster PDF for the preview by the participants. Please send your poster PDF file to the Secretariat by at least one week prior to the seminar, February 25th, 2021.
